NOT EVEN HIDING IT: SISOLAK TAKES MONEY JUST BEFORE AND AFTER AWARDING EXPENSIVE CONTRACT TO DONOR

Shady Steve must think the press and people of Nevada are clueless. He’s not even hiding his corruption. Sisolak took big donations from a paving company right before and right after voting to give them an expensive government contract.

Here’s how Shady Steve operates. On June 25, 2016, Steve Sisolak took $2,500 from Las Vegas Paving Corporation.

A few weeks later, that corporation filed a bid with the Clark County Commission, hoping to get approval from Sisolak and other commissioners. They wanted more than $1.3 million from taxpayers for a construction project.

Las Vegas Paving Corporation Bid

On September 1st of 2015, Steve Sisolak voted to give the money to his donors, Las Vegas Paving Corporation, along with another project for the company at a meeting of the Clark County Commission.

Then, just 29 days later on September 30th, 2015, Las Vegas Paving Corporation donated another $2,500 to Sisolak’s campaign. They followed up with another donation after that on December 8, 2015.

Campaign Finance Report

Shady Steve took money from Las Vegas Paving Corporation weeks before and weeks after awarding them an expensive government contract. Why were they so eager to funnel money to Sisolak then? Why did he accept the money, knowing that it would give the appearance that they were greasing the wheels for a smooth bidding process? Because that’s what Shady Steve does.

Steve Sisolak has, so far, avoided questions about his pattern of pay-to-play behavior. This is just another example of him putting politics, donors, and himself first. This November, the people of Nevada will hold him accountable. If he acts like this as a Clark County Kingpin, just imagine how he’d behave as Governor.
